(B) over bar --> D pi, Dpi, J/psi (K) over bar and J/psi pi decays ar
e studied. Their amplitude is given by a sum of factorized and nonfact
orizable ones. The latter which is estimated by using a hard pion appr
oximation is rather small in color favored (B) over bar --> D pi and D
pi decays but still can efficiently interfere with the main amplitude
given by the factorization. In the color suppressed (B) over bar -->
J/psi (K) over bar and J/psi pi decays, the nonfactorizable contributi
on is very important. The sum of the factorized and nonfactorizable am
plitudes can reproduce well the existing experimental data on the bran
ching ratios for the color favored (B) over bar --> D pi and Dpi and
the color suppressed (B) over bar --> J/psi (K) over bar and J/psi pi
decays by taking reasonable values of unknown parameters involved.
