A self-consistent perburbation theory to calculate magnetoresistivity,
susceptibility, and the Hall constant for the crystal field split cer
ium based systems is employed. In this theory, excitonic and other cor
relations are included self-consistently. The resulting non-linear int
egral equations for the conduction electron scattering amplitude are s
olved perturbatively retaining terms up to fourth order in V, the Ande
rson mixing interaction. We calculate the Hall constant as a function
of temperature for various positions of the f-level. We compare our re
sults with the experimental data on cerium based compounds.
