THE SCOLAR PROGRAM FOR PHOTOVOLTAICS IN THE UK

The Scolar Programme for Photovoltaics is a nationwide collaborative p rogramme developing understanding of photovoltaics by the next generat ion of energy users. The technology therefore has to be presented in a way that will appeal to those who already may have a good concept of 'virtual' reality through computer games, but have never experienced t he reality of photovoltaics in Britain. It also has to meet the needs of the teachers and managers of the participating schools and colleges in developing their educational effectiveness, raising the profile of the school and having an attractive and self explanatory photovoltaic system in their environment.
