The structure of [CuBr2(C3H3ClN2)2] consists of discrete four-coordina
te molecular units with two imidazole N(3) atoms and two bromide ions
bonded to the metal. The-coordination about the Cu atom is intermediat
e between tetrahedral and square-planar. The complex is isostructural
with the corresponding chloride [CuCl2(C3H3ClN2)2].
