Abstract
2-Amino-2-(2-fluorophenyl)acetic acid (ortho-fluorophenylglycine) cons ists of a planar acetate anion with a fluorophenyl group attached to t he alpha C atom at a dihedral angle of 105.5-degrees. All three amino H atoms form hydrogen bonds to carboxylate O atoms of three adjacent m olecules in the crystal. Methyl 4-(fluorocarbonyl)benzoate has a plana r phenylfluorocarbonyl group and its planar carboxylate group is rotat ed by 6-degrees from it. The estradiol 3-methyl ether, -fluoro-3-metho xyestra-1,3,5(10)-trien-17alpha-ol, has the well known structure for t he estradiol moiety. The alcoholic H atom is hydrogen bonded to the ad jacent F atom of the molecule. There are no intermolecular hydrogen bo nds.
