Abstract
The first total synthesis of (-)- 3- oxoeudesma- 1, 4, 11(13)- trien- 7alphaH-12- oic acid (1) has been described. The key step is one- pot reaction involving dehydrogenation and allylic oxidation with selenium dioxide.
