Abstract
A designed two-alpha-helix peptide His-2 alpha bound effectively a tra nsition metal ion, such as Cu2+ and Zn2+ in buffer containing 10-30% t rifluoroethanol, with the alpha-helix structure being annealed by the metal ion binding.
