Abstract
Efficient synthesis of chiral difluorocyclopropane building block has been accomplished; prochiral diacetate of 1,2-bis(hydroxymethyl)-3, 3- difluorocyclopropane was converted to the corresponding monoacetate th rough Alcaligenes sp. lipase-catalyzed hydrolysis with >99% enantiomer ic excess.
