Abstract
Electrochemical scanning tunneling microscopy revealed two kinds of pe riodical structure of bright spot on Cu(111) electrode surfaces in NaO H aqueous solutions. These structures show the arrangement of the CuOH surface species formed by the reduction of subsurface oxygens.
