Abstract
The bifurcation structure has been determined for the chemical oscilla tion in the Fe(CN)64--H2O2-H2SO4 system in a continuous-flow stirred t ank reactor. Two types of bifurcations are observed between the oscill atory and steady states, corresponding to the Hopf subcritical and sup ercritical bifurcations, the former being accompanied by a hysteresis. A bifurcation diagram has been determined taking the flow rate and th e initial concentration of proton as control parameters. The observed bifurcations are discussed on the basis of the reaction scheme propose d previously.
