Lp. Grachev et al., FEATURES OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF PULSED MICROWAVE DISCHARGES IN VARIOUSGASES IN A QUASI-OPTICAL BEAM, Technical physics, 43(4), 1998, pp. 378-381
Photographs of pulsed microwave discharges initiated by a metallic sph
ere placed at the focus of a quasioptical electromagnetic beam with li
near polarization of the field in air, sulfur hexafluoride, hydrogen,
and helium under a pressure of several hundred Torr are presented. The
common and distinctive features of the discharges in these gases are
noted. (C) 1998 American Institute of Physics. [S1063-7842(98)00704-1]
