MEDICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL OUTPATIENT PSYCHOTHERAPEUTIC TREATMENT IN THE HANNOVER AREA

The result of an investigation of 128 from 283 (45,2%) medical and psy chological psychotherapists established in the city of Hannover is pre sented. The aim of the study is to characterize the situation of psych otherapeutical care not only by the number of psychotherapists in rela tion to inhabitants but also by the working time spent for psychothera py. Besides we found gender,school of psychotherapy and professional e xperience as factor influencing the patients waiting time for beginnin g a psychotherapy. In contrast to other studies, the number of medical and psychological psychotherapists is not different, nevertheless the psychotherapeutical care in Hannover is not ensured.
