The sources of previous thermodynamic property values are detailed for
cadmium and some compounds of cadmium that might be expected as deriv
ative from anthropogenic introduction of cadmium into the environment
or are required for calculation of thermodynamic properties of cadmium
-containing systems. Included are descriptions of the sources of infor
mation and methodology used to obtain the values for these compounds r
eported in the NBS series of publications loosely and collectively ref
erred to as the NBS Thermodynamics Tables. (C) 1998 American Institute
