We present both theoretical and experimental results for the low tempe
rature electron dislocation drag in thin metal plates and wires. It is
shown that because of the periodic character of electron motion in pl
ates and wires the collision mechanism of energy absorption dominates
unlike the collisionless one in a bulk sample. Theoretical calculation
s and experimental results demonstrate a stronger size effect in wires
than in plates.
