Abstract
Efficiency of the process of utilization of phthalate esters depending on ester structure tends to fall with increase in number of carbon at oms in side alkyl chain as correlated with reduction of phthalate este r water solubility. Utilization of phthalate esters may include transf ormation of these compounds by extracellular enzymes to form water-sol uble intermediates of their solubilization by biosurfactants.
