Sv. Ovsyannikova et al., THE LEVELS OF CS-137, SR-90, PU-239,PU-240 AND AM-241 IN SOIL SOLUTIONS AS A CRITERION OF RADIONUCLIDE MOBILITY, Doklady Akademii nauk BSSR, 42(3), 1998, pp. 109-116
The results of the investigation of Cs-137, Sr-90 Pu-239,Pu-240 and Am
-241 distribution between solid and liquid phases of different types o
f soils contaminated as a result of Chernobyl catastrophe are presente
d. It was shown the content of radionuclides in the pole moisture and
its change along the soil profiles are in accordance with content and
distribution of radionuclide mobile forms in the soils. It was reveale
d that the level of radioactive contamination and water capacity of so
il, the content of potassium, calcium and mobile humic components in t
he soil solution are the most important characteristics governing supp
ly of radionuclides into the pore moisture. It was established that th
e distribution coefficients of radionuclides can be used as criterions
of their mobility at the territories with different soil cover irresp
ective of the levels of radioactive contamination.
