Abstract
Coherent synchrotron oscillation was observed in the SPring-8 storage ring as sidebands at the harmonics of the accelerating frequency, whic h is independent of beam current. This is explained using a forced osc illation model of the synchrotron oscillation affected by the disturba nce of accelerating voltage. The RF disturbance is induced by the ripp le noise in the klystron power supply at the harmonics of the frequenc y of the AC power supply.
