J. Strasser et al., EFFECT OF HIGH-PRESSURE ON THE EMISSION-SPECTRUM OF SINGLE-CRYSTALS OF TL[AU(CN)(2)], Chemical physics letters, 295(1-2), 1998, pp. 95-98
Experimental results for the photoluminescence of Tl[Au(CN)(2)] single
crystals are reported as a function of pressure up to p approximate t
o 45 kbar at T = 60 and 300 K. Pressure-induced red-shifts of the emis
sion energy are Delta<(nu)over bar>/Delta p = -140 cm(-1)/kbar (at 60
K) and Delta<(nu)over bar>/Delta p = -160 cm(-1)/kbar (at 300 K). Thes
e large values are related to the pressure-induced increase of two-dim
ensional interactions between the [Au(CN)(2)](-) units and to the redu
ction of the band gap energy. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All right
