Gs. Spagnolo et al., MEASUREMENT OF VIBRATION AMPLITUDE BY AN OPTICAL FIBER-BASED MOIRE INTERFEROMETER, Optics and lasers in engineering, 30(2), 1998, pp. 213-223
A projected-fringe fiber-based moire interferometer is proposed to mea
sure the local amplitude vibration of a diffuse surface. The technique
is based on an optical fiber interferometer which projects interferen
ce fringes on the object surface. The visibility of these carrier frin
ges is modulated by a function of local amplitude vibration. Full-fiel
d quantitative analysis is performed by analyzing the fringe pattern w
ith a 2-D Fourier transform method. Theoretical details, and experimen
tal results are presented. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights r
