Dr. Jones et al., THE PARTITIONING OF CS-137, IN COMPARISON TO K, P, AND CA IN THE SHOOTS OF ERIOPHORUM-VAGINATUM L. PLANTS, Environmental pollution, 101(3), 1998, pp. 437-439
In previous studies, persistently high concentrations of Cs-137 in Eri
ophorum vaginatum plants in the UK uplands have been attributed partly
to the efficiency with which they remobilize minerals. The partitioni
ng in the shoots of E. vaginatum of Cs-137 from environmental sources
was investigated and found to be the same as that of mobile nutrients,
inferring similar relative mobility and remobilisation. (C) 1998 Else
