Voltage Activated Calcium Channel (VACC) blockers have been demonstrat
ed to have utility in the treatment of pain and stroke. A series of am
inomethyl substituted isoquinolinol derivatives with potent functional
activity for N-type VACC's have been identified. Their synthesis and
