Abstract
H/Al-montmorillonite and -bentonite clays, as well as humate-treated c lays were investigated. The transport properties of the electroactive probe p-benzoquinone were studied by a cyclic voltammetric technique. Effective diffusion coefficients of Cs-137(+) ions were determined by radioabsorption measurements. Results have been interpreted by conside ring the effect of organo-mineral complexes on permeability. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
