Abstract
This paper describes the new synthesis and evaluation of some morpheli no- and pyrrolidinosphingolipids and mimics as inhibitors of glucosylc eramide synthase. It was found that the pyrrolidino derivatives are ge nerally more active than the morpholino derivatives and the best one w as shown to be a nanomolar inhibitor. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd.
