Magnetisation and magnetoreflectivity of quaternary semimagnetic semic
onductors with small Mn mole fraction: cubic Zn0.1Cd0.89Mn0.01Te and w
urtzite Cd0.99Mn0.01Se0.3Te0.7 were studied. Magnetisation measurement
s, performed by SQUID technique at temperature of T = 2 K in the magne
tic field up to 5 T exhibited paramagnetic like behaviour. Magnetorefl
ectivity measurements were also performed in the magnetic field up to
5 T and temperature T = 2 K in Faraday and Voigt configuration. Exchan
ge integrals for both materials based on experimentally obtained data
were calculated. Results were compared with those for ternary semimagn
