Abstract
The convex bodies generated by the union of the unit ball of l(1)(n) a nd one rotation of this ball are studied. It is shown that the Banach- Mazur distance between such bodies and the basis constant, admit a sha rp lower estimate, when rotations are chosen at random. (C) Academie d es Sciences/Elsevier, Paris.
