W. Qin et al., CHEMILUMINESCENCE FLOW-SENSING SYSTEM FOR HYDROGEN-PEROXIDE WITH IMMOBILIZED REAGENTS, Analytica chimica acta, 372(3), 1998, pp. 357-363
A novel chemiluminescence (CL) sensing system for hydrogen peroxide co
mbined with flow-injection analysis (FIA) is described in this paper.
It is prepared by electrostatically immobilizing the analytical reagen
ts, luminol and cobalt(II), on a strongly basic anion-exchange resin a
nd a weakly acid cation-exchange resin, respectively. Hydrogen peroxid
e is sensed by the CL reaction with luminol and cobalt(II) bleeding fr
om the ion-exchange column with immobilized reagents by hydrolysis. Th
e calibration graph is linear in the range 4 x 10(-8) to 1 x 10(-5) mo
l l(-1), and the detection limit is 1.2 x 10(-8) mol l(-1) hydrogen pe
roxide. A complete analysis could be performed in 1 min with a relativ
e standard deviation of <5%. The system could be used for 50 h and has
been applied successfully to the determination of hydrogen peroxide i
n rainwater and glucose in serum by measuring the formation of hydroge
n peroxide from a packed bed reactor with immobilized glucose oxidase.
