Abstract
A review of methods of DNA analysis used in forensic medicine for iden tification, paternity testing, etc. is provided. Among other technique s, DNA fingerprinting using different probes and polymerase chain reac tion-based techniques such as amplified sequence polymorphisms and min isatellite variant repeat mapping are thoroughly described and both th eoretical and practical aspects are discussed.
