Abstract
Brief(i.e. <4 weeks duration) pumping-trials have been used to indicat e the economic and scientific suitabilities of landfills for landfill- gas (lfg) harnessing. Some of the challenges and proposed solutions ar e discussed. The methodology employed, results measured and conclusion s drawn, based upon brief pumping-trials conducted: at 12 different UK landfill sites, are presented.
