Abstract
Behavioral systems management is a technology based on a scientific ap proach of the analysis of behavioral systems. This technology helps or ganizations to define and achieve their goals. It consists of the anal ysis, specification, design, application, evaluation and recycling of human motivational systems that optimize the performance and developme nt at the individual, department and system levels of the organization . It uses three models: the ''Goal-Directed System Design'', the ''Thr ee Contingency Model of Performance Management'', and the ''Performanc e-Management Model of Cultural Change''. This paper describes the theo retical and methodological framework of behavioral systems management and its applications to production and services organizations.
