Several methods of nonconstant feedback impulse control of chaos are p
roposed. The approach is based on the similarity of the return maps of
dissipative continuous-time systems with one-dimensional maps and has
a clear geometrical interpretation. The methods are illustrated for C
hua's circuit, the Rossler oscillator, and the phase-locked loop syste
