Abstract
The new analytical approximation is obtained for the general solution of the one-dimensional stationary Schrodinger equation with an arbitra ry smooth potential. The approximation is constructed on the basis of the employment of a new method of a transition from local solutions in the neighbourhood of a fixed point to global solutions. The satisfact ory precision of the proposed approximation is shown. The iterative pr ocedure is given to obtain the exact solution.
