Abstract
It is shown that molecules of lysophosphatidylcholine can undergo free -radical destruction under gamma-irradiation of aqueous solution. The key role in this process belongs to the reaction of fragmentation of t he lysophosphatidylcholine-radicals with unpaired electron at the glyc erol unit. This fragmentation suns with simultaneous breaking of two b eta-bonds.
