Abstract
A case of a 19-year-old female with a mobile epidermoid tumour in the lumbar spinal canal is reported. Magnetic resonance images taken twice before surgery revealed movement of the tumour from L2 to L1-2 in a 2 -week interval. At surgery the tumour, which was shiny and fragile, wa s totally removed and the pain disappeared after surgery. This is the first reported case of a mobile epidermoid tumour in the lumbar region .
