A general building block to achieve editing according to the multiplic
ity of the X nuclei in sensitivity-improved multidimensional H-1-X HSQ
C experiments is proposed. Its simple implementation on standard exper
iments and the useful additional information obtained by such an appro
ach are the two main reasons for its use even in routine NMR work. Ill
ustrative examples on sensitivity-improved 2D H-1-C-13 HSQC, HSQC-TOCS
