Abstract
It has been established that the oxygen isotopic composition of water from the Devonian sea of normal salinity within the territory of Belar us didn't differ considerably from the composition of modern ocean wat er. The Devonian water evaporation was accompanied by the growth of th e delta O-18 value up to +5,5-+6,6 parts per thousand at the sulphate stage and by posterior inversion. At the halite stage, the delta(18)O value depletion was as much as 6-11 parts per thousand compared to the maximum value. The subsequent brine evaporation didn't cause the isot ope ratio change.
