Abstract
The solution of the nonlinear equation for a typical ferroresonant cir cuit in a power system is shown to exhibit three types of ferroresonan t states: periodic, quasiperiodic and chaotic. Simulations of each of these states are presented for different sets of parameters of the sys tem. It is also shown that the transformer losses are an important fac tor in obtaining the chaotic state.
