Abstract
In most instances, the criteria for physician certification in critica l care medicine and program accreditation for critical care fellowship training programs are outlined in detail by the appropriate certifica tion and accreditation agencies. The following multiauthored discussio n outlines the experience with both of these processes by physicians w ho are trained in critical care medicine and who direct or actively pa rticipate in a training program. Authors focus on areas unique to thei r specialty background.
