Futures studies currently lacks academic recognition, and the framewor
k and infrastrucutre for systematic and regular education and training
. This article introduces a major Finnish initiative to create a new k
ind of infrastructure and learning environment for futures studies-the
Finland Futures Academy. In this article its emerging learning enviro
nment and media are outlined, and some issues related to its functioni
