Advances in molecular techniques, tumor genomics and tissue acquisition off er, new opportunities in exploring the genesis and the submicroscopic featu res of salivary gland neoplasms. Studies integrating these techniques and i nformation may lead to better understanding of the histogenesis and the pat hobiological heterogeneity of these tumors.
