Abstract
A fairly general method is described for analysing thermodynamic parameters for protonation and metal complex formation from logK, Delta H degrees and Delta C(p)degrees data at different temperatures and ionic strengths using the appropriate computer program. The method was applied to the protonatio n of THAM [or tris, tris(hydroxymethyl)methylamine], in NaCl, and the fluor ide ion, in NaClO4. Recommended values for protonation thermodynamic parame ters are reported.
