Abstract
In a search for minor ryanoids from the plant Ryania Speciosa Vahl, we char acterized four new members of that family of natural compounds: 8,9-didehyd roryanodine (5), 10-O-acetylryanodol (6), 3-O-benzoylryanodol (9), and the first member of the natural 4-deoxyryanoid series: 4-deoxy-8(ax)-hydroxy-10 -O-methyl-10-epirya (10) (4-deoxyester A).
