Placement of a PTFE-Covered wallstent through a 12 Fr sheath for the exclusion of a common iliac artery aneurysm

We describe a technique for transfemoral endovascular exclusion of an iliac artery aneurysm with a reconstrained polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)-covere d Wallstent inserted through a 12 Fr sheath after right femoral artery cutd own. The procedure was successfully performed, with evidence of complete an eurysm exclusion at 4-month follow-up. This technique reduces the caliber o f the introducer needed to deploy the covered Wallstent. It should be noted that because of a leak, an additional covered Palmaz stent was also deploy ed.
