Novel all-optical schemes for controlling delay-induced and spatio-temporal
dynamics in semiconductor laser systems are established. The control techn
iques are based on continuous delayed optical feedback. Their successful ap
plication for controlling delay-induced chaotic behavior of highspeed semic
onductor lasers and stabilization of spatio-temporally chaotic multi-stripe
