Abstract
A Fabry-Perot optical discriminator is used to reduce the pattern dependenc e of a semiconductor optical amplifier wavelength converter at 100bit/s. In conjunction with a voltage tunable microelectromechanical bandpass filter, this allows a reduction of conversion penalty for multiple wavelength chan nels.
