Abstract
A semiconductor monolithic add-drop multiplexer is proposed. An electricall y tunable grating switch is monolithically integrated with multimode interf erence couplers, and wavelength selective add-drop multiplexing is achieved in this structure for the first time. The power penalty is as small as 2dB .
