Abstract
The dynamics of atoms in an antidot optical lattice is investigated both th rough numerical simulations and experiments performed with cesium atoms. Th e calculated atomic trajectories display pinball-like bounces on the antido ts. These bounces manifest themselves by broad resonances in probe transmis sion spectroscopy. The experimental spectra are in excellent agreement with theoretical predictions.
