Sq. Dai et al., THE ADSORPTION BEHAVIOR OF DIMETHYLTIN FROM SEAWATER ONTO SEDIMENTARYPHASE IN TIANJIN HARBOR, Environmental pollution, 82(3), 1993, pp. 217-221
The adsorption of dimethyltin from a seawater matrix onto suspended pa
rticulate matter was studied The influences of pH and salinity, adsorp
tion isotherms at various temperatures, and the adsorption rate under
certain experimental conditions were determined. It was found that the
adsorption capacity was highest at c. pH 6 and decreased with increas
ing salinity. The adsorption behaviour at various temperatures was des
cribed best by a Langmuir isotherm. The adsorption capacity of dimethy
ltin was higher in natural seawater than in artificial seawater at the
same temperature.
