Abstract
A new concept the 'virtual circuit' is raised in this article. Its applicat ion in large-scale network analysis with tearing is presented. This new app roach unifies three different tearing methods, i.e. the branch tearing, the node tearing and the hybrid tearing. Based on the virtual circuit, the tea ring equation with a standard Bordered Block Diagonal form can be establish ed directly. The approach presented in this article is applicable to any la rge-scale network analysis. Copyright (C) 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
