Abstract
The results of measurements of spin correlations and magnetonuclear cross-c orrelations (MNCCs) in the system (Sm1-xSrxMnO3)-Sm-154 with the perovskite structure (x=0.25,0.4) in the low-temperature phase in magnetic fields 0<H <1 kOe are presented. These are the first measurements performed by the sma ll-angle polarized-neutron scattering method (SAPNS). It is shown that ferr omagnetic correlations with a scale of 180-250 Angstrom and MNCCs character izing the intercoupling of the magnetic and lattice subsystems on this scal e exist in the system. It is found that in the low-temperature phase the sy stem exhibits spin-glass properties. (C) 1999 American Institute of Physics . [S0021-3640(99)01304-3].
