We check here numerically and establish the validity of a simple estim
ate for the polymer theta-point on various pure and diluted lattices.
Our study on two-dimensional lattices supports a linear relationship o
f the theta-point value with the average number Z(eff) of non-bonded (
nearest) neighbours on a random self-avoiding walk (SAW). This Z(eff)
in turn can be estimated from the connectivity constant mu of SAWs of
the corresponding lattice.
